The MQTT Broker provides the ability to make any Niagara instance provide its own MQTT broker. Designed to solve the problem where you need to integrate MQTT enabled devices but have no local MQTT broker available. MQTT Broker negates the need for expert knowledge in configuring an external MQTT Broker. Intended for use with Web Supervisors and all Niagara based Controllers. Fully compatible with your preferred brand of Niagara 4. Designed with scalability in mind. Suitable for smaller scale integrations (Controllers powered by Niagara 4) up to multi-site deployments (Web Supervisor) Allows the publication and / or subscription to the internal MQTT Broker Service. Can be used with any MQTT Client: • Tridium Niagara Abstract MQTT Driver. NOTE: This may require JSON Tool Kit license (which will require an active SMA license). • Tyrrell MQTT Service` Automatic JSON encoding and decoding. No ‘JSON skills’ required. Perpetual licensing – no SMA termination. • External MQTT Clients. This would be any IoT enabled device(s) you wish to Subscribe from and / or publish to. The MQTT Service supports a wide range of security configurations, allowing you to decide what is best for your site installation.
