OpenConnect Gateway
The OpenConnect Gateway provides a flexible product that allows fast integration between fire alarm systems and Building Management System (BMS) protocols. OpenConnect is primarily a product that is capable of providing a comprehensive building management system (BMS) interface to provide specific and configurable data points from the fire system as standard BMS protocol objects. The configuration of points from the fire system is made possible via the OpenConnect web user interface. This provides fixed web pages to engineers to configure and review completed configurations. OpenConnect is capable of providing connections to various systems using industry-standard protocols such as:
- BACnet IP
- BACnet MSTP (RS485)
- Modbus TCP
- Modbus Serial (RS485)
The OpenConnect gateway supports any fire alarm system that adopts the Apollo OpenConnect Loop protocol. The OpenConnect Gateway currently supports: - Kentec Syncro fire alarm panels are fitted with an OpenConnect interface card. - VES Elite RS fire alarm panels fitted with an OpenConnect interface card. - Shield Omega fire alarm panels fitted with an OpenConnect interface card. The OpenConnect Gateway is based on the Tyrrell eBMS IoT4G Gateway and powered by Niagara 4. Please note that this device is not designed to be engineered by Niagara Workbench, all configuration is carried out in the user-friendly web configuration pages.
