The Tyrrell Products IONA Niagara 4 Controller (ARM) is an advanced Tridium Niagara 4 portable device, combining onboard I/O, extensive communication options, and an optional cellular interface. Supporting the latest Niagara 4 releases (N4.10.7 and N4.13.2), the IONA Controller delivers cutting-edge security and functionality. Designed as a leading independent Niagara-powered controller, the IONA achieves full station functionality within 150 seconds of powering on. With flexible point license upgrades starting at 50-point packs, it offers scalable solutions for various applications. When licensed for fewer than 150 points, the IONA Controller is categorised as an ‘EDGE’ device, providing a cost-effective alternative to JACE controllers, with 10 IONA units equaling the connection capacity of a single JACE device in Niagara networking. The controller is equipped with dual Ethernet ports, dual RS485 ports, and 24 points of onboard I/O (6 UI, 6 DI, 8 AO, 4 DO), all powered by 24V AC/DC. Its built-in I/O functionality reduces the need for external modules, further lowering implementation costs. Licensing options start at 100 points and can scale up to over 10,000 data points, with 50-point incremental upgrades available. The IONA Controller supports all standard Niagara 4 drivers, including BACnet, KNX, Modbus, and M-Bus, while also accommodating third-party driver licenses for additional expansion.
